Lyme Disease very rarely is a person’s ONLY problem, there are multiple other CO-INFECTIONS that are transmitted via the same tick bite as Lyme Disease, and people usually have a few different infections. DETOX IS JUST AS, IF NOT MORE, IMPORTANT THAN TREATMENT for Lyme Disease.
The word Detox seems to have some negative connotations that are sometimes associated with drug users, but the way I can explain it is that when you are treating Lyme Disease you are aggressively killing the Lyme “bugs” or infections. The body easily becomes overloaded with the toxins (dead junk) and we need to help to flush it out to keep the body working properly to heal.
There are SO many great ways to detox, but you want to remain vigilant in regularly doing some sort of detox to continue flushing out the toxins.
Be careful not to overdo it by going too fast because you can end up feeling worse. The medical word for this is called a Herxheimer reaction (Herx for short).

Some notes of my personal experience and what I’ve learned over the years: Be VERY careful with Chlorella and Cilantro if you have ANY inkling OR CHANCE of having a heavy metal toxicity (more about that below in the AMALGAM and ROOT CANAL section). In my opinion, and personal experience, I would NEVER use either Chlorella or Cilantro again as they can redistribute heavy metals through the body and brain and won’t help remove them, contrary to what many herbal professionals say. (See information on the Andy Cutler Chelation protocol for SAFE removal of mercury and heavy metals). Many people with Lyme and Co-infections have found they do not get better unless and until they tackle the heavy metal and mold toxicity issues they are dealing with.
